Yesterday moms had some of her union friends come over for a cookout and i was the cook.
I've become damn good at using our big ass brick grill.
We have our the big ass propane grill that we got last year, which i perfer to use but the brick grill looks damn nice and after watching hours of the food channel grilling i'sa gets down on it. Of course it takes a fucking lot longer to cook with, so i usually just light up the propane grill when its just me and moms, or me and girls.
But moms wanted a big wingding so we went to this Dominican warehouse that sold big halfs of cows ribs and shit. I wasn't so sure i could handle cooking it but when moms asked if i can cook it i told her i could.
I had seen some hillbilly cook something similar and he said it would take him 4 hours. 2 hours each side. Lighting the charcoal and hickory chips every hour or so. That how i remember it.
I needed to do this good son deed because moms is just about all the way back on my side. Shes forgotten about the bullshit job shit, with school set to start on Aug 31st and shit.
YES back to school is looming up ahead but i don't want to talk about that.
I invited Kat. Mouse and a few other people to come over, i figured while the old geezers swam in the pool me and my friends could swim in the lake.
Everyone had a great time, THe ribs were good, not great but what the fuck i don't remember ribs being anything but good. I don't think i've ever had a great rib Ribs are ribs, there are not steaks. I've eated great steaks, and not so great. In my opinion ribs can only taste great becasuse of the sause used, it cannot taste great by itself. Steak on the other hand can taste great buy it self and better with a good sause.
Whatever moms was all kisses and hugs and im the good son again, for which i am thankful, i cannot lose moms love or im up shit creek without a paddle. I plan on being the good student and staying out of trouble but trouble finds me therefore i need moms trusting lover.
